Shakti, in Hinduism, is the universal energy that underlies and sustains all existence. While While I can’t say I’m a practicing Hindu, I deeply believe in the power of the #universe and I’ve often felt this energy, this Shakti, in moments of yoga, meditation, or even during creative sparks when an idea calls out to be brought to life.
This painting is my ode to Shakti. This year especially, I feel the presence more vividly as I embark on this creative journey.
In mythology, Shakti is the feminine life force, the source of power behind male deities, often personified as the divine consort of a Hindu God. But beyond the stories, she is movement, intuition, creation; the sacred pulse behind everything.
